Annexin V‑fluorescein isothiocyanate apoptosis kit (BD Biosciences, San Jose, CA, USA) was applied to evaluate the apoptotic rate of HCC cells. In brief, the transfected cells (2 × 106) were washed with PBS twice, resuspended with 1X binding buffer, and then maintained with 5 μL of Annexin V-FITC and 10 μL of propidium iodide (PI) for 15 minutes in the dark. At last, cell apoptosis was detected using a flow cytometer (FACScan, BD Biosciences).
