C631 human hap1 parental control cell line

Manufactured by Horizon Discovery

The C631 Human HAP1 parental control cell line is a genetically unmodified human cell line developed for use as a control in cellular assays. This cell line retains the genetic characteristics of the parental HAP1 cell line and serves as a reference to compare against genetically engineered variants.

C631 Human HAP1 parental control cell line and two different HAP1 MTH1 KO cell lines (HZGHC000753c002, 8 bp deletion exon 2; HZGHC000753c003, 10 bp deletion exon 2) were obtained from Horizon Discovery Limited. Cells were maintained in Iscove’s Modified Dulbecco’s Medium with 10% FBS and 1% Penicillin/Streptomycin/Fungizone as directed by the manufacturer.

HeLa, HeLaM, and HEK293T and COS7 cells were obtained from the American Type Culture Collection. Control. VAP-A/B double knock-out56 (link) and parental HeLa cells were a gift from Prof Pietro De Camilli’s laboratory (Yale University School of Medicine, New Haven, CT, USA). Cells were cultured in DMEM with 4.5 g/l glucose (Lonza) containing 10% heat-inactivated FBS (Gibco) and 100 U/ml penicillin and 100 μg/ml streptomycin (Gibco) during experimental procedures. Human INPP5A 4 bp deletion KO cell line and a C631 human HAP1 parental control cell line was purchased from Horizon Discovery (HZGHC006619c008). Cells were routinely tested for Mycoplasma contamination and all tests were negative.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
