All chemicals and solvents were commercially available and used without further purification. Tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH, 25% in water) and methanol were purchased from Alfa Aesar (Haverhill, MA, USA). Octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane (D4, >99%), tetramethyltetravinylcyclotetrasiloxane (Vi-D4, >99%), divinyltetramethyldisiloxane (ViVi, >99%), and hexamethyldisiloxane (MM, >99%) were purchased from DAMI POLYCHEM (Iksan, Republic of Korea). Meanwhile, 1,3,5-trimethyl-1,3,5-tris(3,3,3-trifluoropropyl)cyclotrisiloxane (F-D3, >99%) was purchased from the HRS Corporation (Seoul, Republic of Korea). To prepare the liquid silicone, fumed silica was purchased from Grace Continental Korea (Bucheon, Republic of Korea).

All vials and containers used in this study were acid washed in 10% HCl solution overnight, rinsed with deionized water and left to dry in a Class II biosafety cabinet. All reagents were of trace metal grade or better. Concentrated HNO3 and HCl were purchased from Fisher Scientific. Deionized water (resistivity ≥ 18.2 MΩ*cm) was dispensed from our water purification system (GenPure Pro UV-TOC/UF, Thermo Scientific). Alkaline diluent solution was comprised of 0.4% (v/v) tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide (TMAH, Alfa Aesar), 1% (v/v) ethanol (Sigma-Aldrich), 0.01%(w/v) ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (APDC, Alfa Aesar), 0.05% (v/v) Triton X-100 (Sigma-Aldrich). Reagent grade sodium arsenite (purity ≥90%) was purchased from Sigma Aldrich (St. Louis, MO). National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable single and multielement stock solutions were used for preparing internal standards, and calibration standard solutions were purchased from Inorganic Ventures (Christiansburg, VA).

Poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA, average molecular weight, ~120,000 g mol−1) and zinc acetate hydrate (>98%) were purchased from Sigma Aldrich. Poly(N,N′-bis(4-butylphenyl)-N,N′-bis(phenyl)-benzidine) (poly-TPD, average molecular weight, ~55,000 g mol−1) and poly(9,9-dioctylfluorene-co-N-(4-(3-methylpropyl))diphenylamine) (TFB, average molecular weight, ~50,000 g mol−1) were purchased from American Dye Source. Colloidal CdSe-CdZnS core–shell red QDs were purchased from Najing technology Co., Ltd. Tetramethylammonium hydroxide (TMAH, 98%) was purchased from Alfa-Aesar. Chlorobenzene (extra dry, 99.8%), octane (extra dry, >99%) and ethanol (extra dry, 99.5%) were purchased from Acros. Dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO, HPLC grade) and ethyl acetate (HPLC grade) were purchased from J&K Chemical Ltd. ITO. Colloidal Zn0.9Mg0.1O nanocrystals were synthesized according to a previous report44 (link).

Trace Metal Sample Preparation Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All vials and containers used in this study were acid washed in 10% HCl solution overnight and left to dry in a Class II biosafety cabinet equipped with positive pressure. All reagents were of trace metal grade or better. Concentrated HNO3 and HCl were purchased from Fisher Scientific. Deionized water (resistance ≥ 18.2 MΩ*cm) was dispensed from a water purification system (Model. GenPure Pro UV-TOC/UF, Thermo Scientific). Alkaline diluent solution was comprised of 0.4% (v/v) tetramethyl ammonium hydroxide (TMAH, Alfa Aesar), 1% (v/v) ethanol (Sigma-Aldrich), 0.01%(w/v) ammonium pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate (APDC, Alfa Aesar), 0.05% (v/v) Triton X-100™ (Sigma-Aldrich). National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) traceable single and multielement stock solutions were used for preparing internal standards, and calibration standard solutions were purchased from Inorganic Ventures (Christiansburg, VA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
