For immunohistochemistry (IHC), 5-μm-thick paraffin sections were
mounted on ProbeOn
™ slides (Thermo Fisher Scientific). The
immunostaining procedure was performed using a Leica
BOND RXm automated platform
combined with the
Bond Polymer Refine Detection kit (Leica, #DS9800). Staining
and analysis of TGF−β1 was performed as described in the
Supplementary Materials and
Methods, on slides that were counterstained in hematoxylin.
