Folin ciocalteu s
Folin-Ciocalteu's is a colorimetric reagent used for the quantitative determination of phenolic compounds. It measures the total phenolic content in a sample by analyzing the reduction of phosphomolybdic-phosphotungstic acid complexes.

Aliquot of 1 mL of the sample was placed in a test tube and diluted with 10 mL of distilled water. Then, 1.5 mL Folin Ciocalteu's (Sigma) reagent was added and incubated at room temperature for 5 min. 4 mL of 20% (w/w) Na2CO3 were added, adjusted with distilled water up to 35 mL, agitated, and left for 30 min at room temperature. The sample absorbance was measured at 765 nm against a blank, i.e., distilled water16 (link).

About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
