690 elite pet ct scanners

Manufactured by GE Healthcare
Sourced in United States

The 690 Elite PET/CT scanner is a diagnostic imaging device used for combined positron emission tomography (PET) and computed tomography (CT) scans. It is designed to capture high-quality images of the body's anatomy and function, allowing healthcare professionals to diagnose and monitor various medical conditions.

3T MRI and PET Amyloid Imaging

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
MRI was performed using a 3.0-T system (Achieva; Philips Medical Systems) with a sensitivity-encoding, eight-channel head coil. A high-resolution anatomical three-dimensional (3D) volume image was obtained using a 3D gradient-echo T1-weighted sequence with the following parameters: repetition time/echo time, 9.9/4.6 ms; flip angle, 8°; field of view, 224 × 224 mm; matrix, 224 × 224; slice thickness, 1 mm with no gap.
All PET images were obtained using Discovery 690, 710, and 690 Elite PET/CT scanners (GE Healthcare, Milwaukee, WI, USA). Amyloid PET images were acquired for 20 min, beginning 90 min after the injection of 300 ± 30 MBq of [18F] florbetaben. PET images were assessed using a predefined Brain Amyloid Plaque Load (BAPL) scoring system. The final score was determined by consensus among 2 skilled nuclear medicine specialists and 1 neurologist, with BAPL1 being Aβ-negative and BAPL2 and BAPL3 being Aβ-positive. Only patients with BAPL1 expression were included in this study.

PET/CT Imaging of Tau and Amyloid

A Discovery STE PET/CT scanner (GE Healthcare; at SMC) or Discovery 690, 710, and 690 Elite PET/CT scanners (GE Healthcare; Milwaukee, WI, USA; at AMC) were used to acquire the PET images using uniform imaging/reconstruction protocols, as described previously.7 (link)17 (link) The 18F-THK5351 PET images were obtained with an acquisition time of 20 min, commencing 50 min after the intravenous administration of 185±18.5 MBq of 18F-THK5351; the 18F-florbetaben PET images were obtained with an acquisition time of 20 min, starting 90 min after the intravenous administration of 300±30 MBq of 18F-florbetaben.

PET Imaging of [18F]THK-5351 in Neurodegenerative Disorders

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All PET images were acquired using Discovery 690, 710, or 690 Elite PET/CT scanners (GE Healthcare;) at Asan Medical Center, or a Discovery STE PET/CT scanner (GE Healthcare) at Samsung Medical Center, with the same imaging and reconstruction protocols. [18F]THK-5351 PET images were obtained for 20 minutes, starting 50 minutes after injection of 185 ± 18.5 MBq of [18F]THK-5351. After the PET acquisition, the final image was obtained by summing all the individual images. The image quality of this representative image was checked for motion, image contrast, and noise by two nuclear medicine board certified physicians (M.Y.O. and J.S.K., with 6 and 20 years of experience, respectively). The PET images of the included participants were determined to be qualitatively adequate.

PET Imaging of Aggregated Tau in Alzheimer's

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All PET images were acquired using Discovery 690, 710, and 690 Elite PET/CT scanners (GE Healthcare; Milwaukee, WI, USA) at Asan Medical Center and a Discovery STE PET/CT scanner (GE Healthcare) at Samsung Medical Center. The identical imaging and reconstruction protocol was used in both centers. [18F] THK-5351 PET images were obtained for 20 min, starting 50 min after injection of 185 ± 18.5 MBq of [18F] THK-5351, which binds to the aggregated tau in paired helical filaments36 (link),37 (link). Prior to the PET scan, a head holder was applied to minimize head motion and brain CT images were obtained for attenuation correction. Using the ordered-subsets expectation maximization algorithm (iteration = 4, subset = 16), 3D PET images were reconstructed with a voxel size of 2.0 × 2.0 × 3.27 mm3. To increase data uniformity between different PET scanners, a 3D Hoffman phantom-based PET harmonization method was applied based on the results of correction factors obtained from phantom studies using 3D Hoffman brain phantom38 (link),39 (link).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
