Rcd012r

Manufactured by BioVendor

The RCD012R is a centrifuge with a maximum speed of 12,000 RPM and a maximum capacity of 12 tubes. It features a digital display and timer. The core function of the RCD012R is to separate mixtures of different densities by subjecting them to centrifugal force.

The laboratory analyses were carried out by the Research Laboratory of Preventive Medicine of the Republic of Tajikistan in Dushanbe in early 2017. Serum samples were analysed using enzyme‐linked immunosorbent assays to assess SF (BioVendor GmbH, cat nr: RCD012R), TfR (BioVendor GmbH, cat nr: RD194011100), C‐reactive protein (CRP, BioVendor GmbH, cat nr: RAP001), RBP (Abcam, cat nr: ab196264), vitamin D (Enzo Life Sciences, Inc., cat nr: ADI‐900‐215), and serum folate (antibodies‐online Inc., cat nr: ABIN857086). Analyses were conducted according to the manufacturer recommendations (including high and low controls on each plate). In addition, an internal control, a pooled serum sample, was included with each batch and used for interplate variation analysis and quality control assessments.
UIC in spot urine was measured using the Pino modification of the Sandell–Kolthoff reaction with spectrophotometric detection (Caldwell, Makhmudov, Jones, & Hollowell, 2005; Pino, Fang, & Braverman, 1996). All analyses were done using nanopure grade water, and all laboratory glassware and plasticware were acid washed before use. Internal controls were used for the UIC analysis.

Serum glucose, total cholesterol, triglycerides, high density–lipoprotein cholesterol, and low density–lipoprotein cholesterol were determined by enzymatic methods using commercially available kits according to instructions. Serum CRP was measured with an autoanalyzer (Toshiba, Tokyo, Japan) and immunoturbidimetric analysis (CRP II Latex X2; Denka Seiken, Tokyo, Japan). Serum-ferritin levels were evaluated using an ELISA kit (RCD012R, BioVendor). Estimation of serum LDH was performed using an LDH-activity assay kit, (7D69-20, Abbott Diagnostics). Plasma D-dimer was measured with an ELISA kit (NB 110–8376, Novus Biologicals). Lymphocyte count were performed with an autohematology analyzer (Sysmex BC 3000).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
