Ultra rtx 5ms

Manufactured by Shimadzu

The Ultra Rtx-5MS is a gas chromatography (GC) column manufactured by Shimadzu. It is designed for the separation and analysis of a wide range of organic compounds. The column features a 5% phenyl polysiloxane stationary phase, which provides good separation and peak shape for a variety of analytes. The Ultra Rtx-5MS column is suitable for use in various GC applications, including environmental, food, and pharmaceutical analysis.

GC-MS Analysis of Oleoresin Constituents

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The chemical constituents of oleoresins were analyzed by GC-MS (Shimadzu QP 2010 plus instrument) with GCMS-QP 2010 Ultra DB-5 and GCMS-QP 2010 Ultra Rtx-5MS columns (30 m × 0.25 mm i.d., 0.25 µm). The experimental conditions are as follows: Carrier gas: helium with flow rate = 1.21 mL/min, and split ratio = 10.0. Oven temperature: 50–280°C with a temperature gradient of 3°C/min upto 210°C (isotherm for 2 min), and then 6°C/min upto 280°C. Identification of oleoresins components was performed by comparing their relative retention index (RI) values with mass spectra NIST (NIST version 2.1) and WILEY (7th edition) libraries, and also by matching the fragmentation pattern of the mass spectral data with those reported in the literature [21 ].

Chemical Diversity in Vitex Species

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
To check the chemical diversity in tested Vitex species, the essential oils were analyzed by GC-MS (Shimadzu QP 2010 plus) with GCMS-QP 2010 Ultra DB-5 and GCMS-QP 2010 Ultra Rtx-5MS column (30 m × 0.25 mm i.d., 0.25 µm). The following experimental conditions used helium as the carrier gas (flow rate = 1.21 mL/min, split ratio = 10.0). Oven temperature was programmed at 50–280 °C with a temperature gradient of 3 °C/min up to 210 °C (isotherm for 2 min), then 6 °C/min up to 280 °C. Identification of essential oil components was done by comparing their relative retention index (RI) values with mass spectra NIST (NIST version 2.1) and WILEY (7th edition) libraries, and by matching the fragmentation pattern of the mass spectral data with those reported in the literature [25 ,26 (link)].

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
