Thirty-seven FAME reference standards with concentrations between 100 ng/mL and 200 ng/mL (C4–C24) were mixed, while FAME reference standards with carbon numbers of C16-C18 were prepared individually, and the purity was 98–99%. The alkane reference standards (C4–C40) were dissolved in chloroform with a concentration of 500 μg/mL.
Hexyl hexanoate
Hexyl hexanoate is a colorless, oily liquid organic compound with a fruity, floral aroma. It is a type of ester formed by the reaction of hexanoic acid and hexanol. Hexyl hexanoate is commonly used as a flavor and fragrance ingredient in various consumer products.

Synthesis and Analysis of Baijiu Flavors
The standards of ethyl pentanoate, ethyl hexanoate, propyl hexanoate, butyl hexanoate, ethyl octanoate, and hexyl hexanoate, with purities over 99%, were purchased from J&K Scientific Co., Ltd. (Beijing, China). 2H5-Ethyl pentanoate (IS1, ≥ 95%) and 2H5-propyl hexanoate (IS2, ≥ 95%) were used as isotope internal standards and obtained from Yuanye Biological Reagent Co., Ltd. (Shanghai, China). The stock standard solutions of each compound were prepared in ethanol and stored at 4 °C until analysis. A freshly prepared ethanol–water solution at 15% alcohol by volume (ABV) was used as a synthetic model of Baijiu.
About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
