Enhanced bca protein assay

Manufactured by Beyotime
Sourced in China

The Enhanced BCA Protein Assay is a colorimetric detection method for the quantitative determination of total protein concentration. It combines the well-known bicinchoninic acid (BCA) reaction with an enhanced detection reagent to provide a more sensitive and versatile protein quantification solution.

Quantifying Osteogenic Differentiation via ALP Activity

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
After 7 days of osteogenic induction, alkaline phosphatase (ALP) staining was performed using a BCIP/NBT ALP color development kit (Beyotime, C3206, China) following manufacturer’s instruction. Briefly, after removing the culture medium, the cells were washed three times with PBS and fixed with 4% polyoxymethylene for 15 min. Then, the cells were immersed by BCIP/NBT staining working solution and incubated at room temperature for 30 min in dark. The color reaction was terminated by distilled water. ALP quantification was performed with an alkaline phosphatase assay kit (Beyotime, P0321M, China) according to the manufacturer’s protocol. The optical density (OD) was evaluated by measuring the absorbance at 405 nm spectrophotometrically. The total protein content was measured at OD562nm, and the concentration was calculated according to the standard BSA curve using the enhanced BCA protein assay (Beyotime, P0010) [33 (link)]. ALP activity was represented by the OD405nm value after normalization to the total cellular protein.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
