Colon 26

The murine macrophage-like cell line RAW264 and the murine colon adenocarcinoma cell line colon-26 were purchased from RIKEN Cell Bank (Tsukuba, Japan). RAW264 cells were cultured in Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle’s Medium (DMEM; Nacalai Tesque, Kyoto, Japan) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS), 100 U/mL penicillin and 100 µg/mL streptomycin (Gibco, Waltham, MA, USA). colon-26 cells were cultured in RPMI1640 (Nacalai Tesque) supplemented with 10% FBS, 100 U/mL penicillin, and 100 µg/mL streptomycin. These cell lines were cultured at 37 °C in a 5% CO₂ incubator.

LoVo, Colo-205, Caco-2, and Colon-26 cells were obtained from the Riken Cell Bank (Ibaraki, Japan) and maintained in RPMI-1640 medium (Sigma, St Louis, MO, USA) and fetal bovine serum (FBS; Gibco, Carlsbad, CA, USA) in the presence of 5% CO₂ at 37 °C. SW948 cells were obtained from the Japanese Collection of Research Bioresources (Osaka, Japan) and maintained in L-15 medium (Sigma) supplemented with FBS (Gibco) in the presence of 5% CO₂ at 37 °C. HT-29 cells were purchased from DS Pharma Biomedical (Osaka, Japan) and maintained in McCoy’s 5a medium (Sigma) supplemented with FBS (Gibco) in the presence of 5% CO₂ and temperature at 37 °C. L-OHP was purchased from LC Laboratories (Woburn, MA, USA). Simvastatin and fluvastatin were obtained from FUJIFILM Wako (Tokyo, Japan).

LLC and colon‐26 cells were purchased from RIKEN Cell Bank (Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan). LLC and LLC‐Venus‐Rluc cells were cultured in DMEM (Sigma‐Aldrich, St. Louis, MO, USA, #D5796), supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum and 1% penicillin/streptomycin. colon‐26 cells were cultured in RPMI‐1640 (Sigma‐Aldrich, #R8758) and supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum and 1% penicillin/streptomycin. Cells were cultured at 37°C in a humidified atmosphere containing 5% CO₂. All cells were free of mycoplasma contamination.
