SPSS 20.0 is a statistical software application developed by IBM for data analysis, visualization, and modeling. It is designed to run on Mac OS X or higher operating systems. The software provides a range of analytical tools and techniques, including regression analysis, factor analysis, and time series forecasting. SPSS 20.0 is primarily used for statistical analysis and data management tasks.

Dietary Fatty Acid Biomarkers

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Non-cholesterol sterols are reported as means ± SD. Concentrations at baseline, and after 3 months and 6 months of FO treatment (study 1) and baseline and approximately 3 weeks of age (study 2) were evaluated by a Wilcoxon signed rank test. Results were considered to be statistically significant if p < 0.05 and statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 20.0 for Mac Os X or higher (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA).

Effect of Antibiotics on Lipid Metabolism

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
An univariate analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was used to examine the effect of antibiotic treatment on lipid, lipoprotein, bile acid, non-cholesterol sterol and oxy(phyto)sterol concentrations. Concentrations at the end of the treatment were used as dependent variable and baselines concentrations as a covariate to account for potential differences in baseline concentrations between placebo and antibiotics treated groups. When treatment effects reached statistical significance (P < 0.05), treatments were compared pairwise using a Bonferroni's correction for multiple testing. Cross-sectional correlations at baseline between parameters were determined by Pearson correlation coefficient. Results were considered to be statistically significant if P < 0.05 and all statistical analyses were performed using SPSS 20.0 for Mac Os X or higher (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
