Il 1β kits

Manufactured by Thermo Fisher Scientific
Sourced in United States

The IL-1β kits are laboratory equipment used for the measurement of Interleukin-1 beta (IL-1β) levels in biological samples. IL-1β is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that plays a crucial role in the immune response and inflammation processes. These kits provide a standardized and reliable method for quantifying IL-1β concentrations, enabling researchers to study its involvement in various biological and pathological conditions.

LPS (Escherichia coli, O127:B8) was purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA). Mas receptor antagonist A779 was obtained from AbBiotech (San Diego, CA, USA). ACE2 inhibitor MLN-4760 was a product from EMD Millipore (Darmstadt, Germany). SB203580 (a specific inhibitor of p38 MAPK), PD98059 (a specific inhibitor of ERK1/2) and SP600125 (a specific inhibitor of JNK) were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology (Delaware, CA, USA). Rabbit anti-ACE2, anti-p50, anti-p65, and mouse anti-phospho-p50, anti-phospho-p65 and anti-IκBα antibodies were procured from Santa Cruz Biotechnology. Rabbit anti-p38 MAPK, anti-phospho-p38 MAPK, anti-ERK1/2, anti-phospho-ERK1/2, anti-/JNK, anti-phospho-JNK, horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG, and horse anti-mouse IgG antibodies were purchased from Cell Signaling Technology (Danvers, MA, USA). TNF-α and IL-1β kits were purchased from Invitrogen (Eugene, OR, USA). AngII and Ang-(1-7) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits were from Kamiya Biomedical (Seattle, WA, USA).

Cytokine and Viral Quantification ELISA

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cytokine quantification was performed in cell supernatants by sandwich ELISA using RANK-L kits (ELISAGenie, London, UK), IL-6 kits (BD Biosciences Franklin Lakes, NJ, USA), or IL-1β kits (Invitrogen, Waltham, MA, USA) according to manufacturer’s instructions. Antibodies used are described in Table S2. HIV-1 p24 concentration of viral stocks and p24 released by infected MF was measured by a previously described home-made sandwich ELISA [60 (link)] with NIH reagents, NIH AIDS Reagent Program, Division of AIDS, NIAID.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
