Synthesis of Crystalline Tantalum Pentoxide Nanoparticles

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The tantalum pentoxide NPs were synthesized using a classical precipitation route. First, 10 g (24.62 mmol) of tantalum ethoxide (≥ 99.98%, Sigma-Aldrich) was transferred carefully with the exclusion of water into 200 mL of ethanol (≥ 99.8%, Sigma-Aldrich). The solution was stirred at room temperature, and then 60 mL of deionized water was added quickly to the reaction mixture, which resulted in the formation of a white precipitate. The precipitate was filtered via centrifugation (Eppendorf), washed twice with deionized water, and dried at 90 °C overnight. To obtain crystalline Ta 2 O 5 , the precipitate was annealed in a tube furnace (LABEC) at 730 °C for 30 minutes under atmospheric conditions.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
