XRD patterns of the powders and thin films were recorded on a Philips (Amsterdam, The Netherlands)
X’PERT diffractometer that was equipped with a proportional detector and a secondary graphite monochromator. The data were collected step wise over the range 2θ = 2–20°, at steps of 0.02°, an accumulation time of 20 s/step, using the Cu Kα radiation (λ = 1.54178 Å).
UV–Vis optical spectroscopy of the perovskite films was carried out using a Cary 5G spectrophotometer (Santa Clara, CA, USA) and CaSO
4 as reference.
Field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) images were recorded with a Zeiss
Ultra 55 field FESEM apparatus (Atlanta, GA, USA).
