Copper Chelation Evaluation of Blood Plasma Hydrolysates
to Kong and Xiong (2006) (link) with a few
adjustments. The blood plasma hydrolysates (1 mL) were mixed with 1 mL of
0.2 mM CuSO4 in a centrifuge tube before being incubated at a
standard temperature for 5 min. The mixture was then treated with 1 mL of
11.3% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) solution before centrifugation at
2,500×g for 10 min. Then, the supernatant (2 mL) was mixed with 1 mL
of 10% pyridine and 20 μL of 0.1% pyrocatechol violet (Sigma-Aldrich)
in a test tube before being incubated at room temperature for 5 min. The
supernatant absorbance of the test samples was examined at 632 nm after
centrifuging them at 2,500×g for 10 min.

About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
