Pi apoptosis detection kit

Manufactured by Dojindo Laboratories
Sourced in Japan, China

The PI) Apoptosis Detection Kits from Dojindo Laboratories are designed to detect and quantify apoptosis, a programmed cell death process. The kits utilize the fluorescent dye propidium iodide (PI) to stain the nucleic acids of cells, allowing for the identification of apoptotic cells through flow cytometry analysis.

Annexin V-FITC/PI Apoptosis Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
flow cytometry assay was carried out to detect cell apoptosis. In brief, HT‐1376 and T24 cells transfected with different vectors were harvested and subjected to apoptosis detection using Annexin V(FITC)/Propidium iodide (PI) Apoptosis Detection Kits (Dojindo). Cell apoptosis rate was detected by using flow cytometry (Beckman Coulter) and analyzed using FlowJo 7.6 software (Tree Star, lnc).

flow cytometry assay was carried out for cell apoptosis assessment. In brief, different treated A549 and H1975 cells were harvested and subjected to apoptosis test using Annexin V (FITC)/propidium iodide (PI) Apoptosis Detection Kits (Dojindo, Japan). Cell apoptosis rate was detected by using flow cytometry (Beckman Coulter, CA, U.S.A.) and analyzed using FlowJo 7.6 software (FlowJo LLC, Ashland, OR, U.S.A.).

Apoptosis Quantification by Flow Cytometry

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cell death was detected using an annexin V-fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and propidium iodide (PI) Apoptosis Detection Kit (Dojindo, China) according to the manufacturer’s instructions. After different treatments, adherent and floating cells were collected, washed twice with PBS, and incubated in annexin V and PI for 15 min at room temperature in the dark. At least 1.0 × 104 cells were collected and detected with a flow cytometer (FACSVerse, Bioscience, USA), and the data were analysed by FlowJo software.

Quantifying Apoptosis via Annexin V-FITC

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
After cells were harvested and washed with cold PBS. The Annexin V‐fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and Propidium Iodide (PI) apoptosis detection kit (Dojindo) was applied to quantitatively estimate the level of phosphatidylserine on cell surface according to the manufacturer's instruction. A flow cytometer (Beckman) was used to analyze the apoptotic cells. A minimum of 10 000 events was collected for each sample. The percentage of apoptotic cells to total cells was shown as the results.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
