Measuring Cytokine Levels in BAL, Lung, and Serum

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Levels of IFN-γ, CXCL-1, IFN-λ2/3, IL-20, IL-24 (R&D systems, Minneapolis, MN, United States) and IL-19 (Invitrogen, Waltham, MA, United States) were determined in BAL, lung and serum by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) using the manufacturer’s recommendation.

Quantifying Immune Mediators in BALF

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Commercially available ELISA kits were used to quantify IFN-β (R&D Systems, DY8234-05), IFN-λ2/3 (R&D Systems, DY1789B-05), IFN-γ (BioLegend, 430804), Myeloperoxidase (R&D Systems, DY3667) and Neutrophil Elastase/ELA2 (R&D Systems, DY4517-05) in BALF following the manufacturer’s protocol.

Lung Cytokine Profiling in Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
A single lung lobe from each mouse was excised and snap frozen before being homogenised in buffers recommended in the manufacturer's instructions. Levels of IL-5, IL-13, IFNγ (BD Biosciences; PharMingen), IFNα, IFNβ (Verikine; PBL Assay Science), CCL7/MCP3 and IFNλ2/3 (R&D Systems) were determined in clarified lung lysates by ELISA. CCL2/MCP1, CCL3/MIP1α, CCL4/MIP1β, CXCL9/MIG and CXCL10/IP10 were measured by employing a Multiplex Immunoassay (Millipore). All concentrations were normalised to lung weight.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
