Diagnostic Biomarker Validation Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Values are presented as the mean ± standard error of the mean. Differences between measurements and groups were compared using Welch’s t-test. ROC curve analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Spearman’s rank correlation coefficient, and logistic regression analysis were performed using JMP 13 for Windows software program (SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, USA). Cut-off values obtained from ROC curve analysis were determined according to the Youden Index57 (link). A two-tailed p-value of < 0.05 was considered significant.

Aspirin and Surgical Outcomes Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Summary statistics were calculated using frequencies and proportions for categorical data and medians and ranges for continuous variables. Chi square tests were used for categorical data, and Mann–Whiney U tests and Kruskal–Wallis tests were used for continuous data.
Since there were differences in patient backgrounds and the style of operation among patients who continued to take aspirin (APT+) and those not on APT (APT−), we used a propensity score method to balance the observed covariates related to surgical invasiveness between the groups. Among patient factors, oncological factors and surgical factors, we chose the following as covariates which might affect surgical outcomes: sex, age, BMI, ASA-class, VTE risk classification, tumor location, lymphadenectomy, surgical curability and tumor stage. One-to-one propensity matching was performed using a caliper index of 0.20. Statistical analyses were performed using JMP13 for Windows (SAS Institute). P values of < 0.05 were considered significant.

Evaluating Graft Survival and Acute AMR/TMR

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The normality of distribution for continuous variables was tested by the Shapiro-Wilks test. Data are presented as mean AE SD for normally distributed variables, median (range) for non-normally distributed variables, and number (%) for categorical data. All statistical analyses were performed with JMP13 for Windows (SAS Institute, Cary, NC, United States). The Wilcoxon test was used to assess differences in continuous and ordinal variables between the 2 groups. The chi-square test and Fisher's exact probability test were used for categorical data. A Kaplan-Meier curve followed by the log-rank test was used to assess graft survival and cumulative incidence of acute AMR/TMR in the 2 groups. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were performed to determine the factors associated with DGF and CDC-XM T-cell-positivity. P < .05 was defined as significant for all statistical analyses.

Comparative Statistical Analysis Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Data obtained from 3-5 independent experiments were analyzed by Tukey's test or Wilcoxon's test depending on the results for the equality of variance. Values are presented as mean ± SD. Values of p < 0.05 were considered to indicate statistically significant differences. Mean values of replicates in the experiments were used to determine statistical significance. All statistical analyses were performed using JMP 13 for Windows (SAS, Cary, NC, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
