Volatile Compound Analysis of Wheat and Buckwheat Flour

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Wheat and buckwheat flour was purchased from a local supermarket in Dalian, Liaoning, China. Standard chemicals: analytical grade (pentanal, hexanal, heptanal, octanal, nonanal, decanal, 1‐penten‐3‐ol, pentanol, hexanol, heptanol, octanol, toluene, ethyl benzene, p‐xylene, styrene, 2‐pentyl‐furan, and C4–C20 n‐alkanes) were purchased from Sigma‐Aldrich. Internal standards (tetracosane, p‐chloro‐L‐phenylalanine, 5R‐cholestan‐3β‐ol, Phenyl‐β‐D‐glucopyranoside) were purchased from Aladdin.

Soybean Oil Extraction and Characterization

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
One kilogram of soybean seeds (HN‐48) was purchased from a local market in Dalian, Liaoning, China. The oil was extracted from the seeds using an expeller machine (HDC, Model LTP205). The extracted oils were filtered and stored in sealed glass bottles in the refrigerator (4°C) for further analysis. Standard chemicals: analytical grade (pentanal, hexanal, heptanal, octanal, nonanal, decanal, 1‐penten‐3‐ol, pentanol, hexanol, heptanol, octanol, toluene, ethyl benzene, p‐xylene, styrene, 2‐pentylfuran, and C4–C20 n‐alkanes) were purchased from Sigma‐Aldrich.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
