Disulfiram Administration and Receptor Antagonists

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Disulfiram (DSF) was obtained from Sigma-Aldrich (PHR1690) and dissolved in 0.9% saline and 0.5% Tween 80. The DSF stock solutions were all sonicated for at least 30 minutes and briefly vortexed before each administration. DSF was administered intraperitoneally (50, 100, or 200 mg/kg). In Experiment 3, prazosin (α1-adrenergic receptor antagonist; 3 mg/kg) and propanolol (β-adrenergic receptor antagonist; 10 mg/kg) were obtained from Sigma-Aldrich (P7791; P0884) and dissolved in 0.9% saline solution. All solutions were vortexed before administration. All solutions were injected in a volume of 1mL/kg.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
