In vitro toxicology assay kit sulforhodamine b

Manufactured by Merck Group
Sourced in France, United Kingdom

The In vitro Toxicology Assay kit (Sulforhodamine B) is a laboratory equipment product developed by Merck Group. The kit is used to measure the cytotoxicity of compounds in cell-based assays. The assay utilizes the sulforhodamine B dye to quantify the cellular protein content, which is directly proportional to the number of living cells in culture.

Sulforhodamine B Cell Viability Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cell growth was measured with the In vitro Toxicology Assay kit (Sulforhodamine B, Sigma Aldrich, Saint Quentin Fallavier, France) according to manufacturer’s instructions. Cells were plated at a density of 2000 cells per well in 96-well plates in triplicates. Absorbance was measured at 565 nm using the CLARIOstar multiplate reader (BMG Labtech, Champigny-sur-Marne, France) at indicated time points.

Sulforhodamine B Cytotoxicity Assay

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cells were plated at a density of 0.03 × 105 cells/well in a 96-well plate 24 h before treating cells with the desired drugs. Cells were fixed with 10% trichloroacetic acid (TCA) for 1 h, and dried overnight at room temperature followed by staining with SRB for 15 min, washed twice with 1% acetic acid, and air dried for at least 1 h. The incorporated SRB staining was dissolved in 10 mM Tris pH 8.8 solution and then plates were analyzed using a calorimetric microplate reader (Thermo Labsystem Multiskan Ascent) (Akribis Scientific, UK) at a wavelength of 540 nm and 690 nm, according to In Vitro Toxicology Assay Kit Sulforhodamine B based protocol (Sigma, UK).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
