Drosophila Immunolabeling Protocol

Immunohistochemistry was performed following the protocol for adult Drosophila immunolabelling according to Purice et al. (2017) (link). For BrdU detection, dissected VNCs were treated with 2 M HCl for 20 min (RT) prior to incubation with anti-BrdU.

Immunofluorescence Staining of Frozen Liver Sections

Alexa Fluor® 647 Donkey anti-Rabbit IgG (H+L) and Alexa Fluor 488 Donkey anti-Sheep IgG (H+L) (1:900; Thermo Fisher Australia) were used as secondary antibodies. Images were captured using the Nikon TiE microscope (Monash Micro Imaging Platform).
