Irf8flox flox

Manufactured by Jackson ImmunoResearch
Sourced in Montenegro

The Irf8flox/flox is a laboratory mouse strain designed for genetic studies. It contains a floxed Irf8 gene, which allows for conditional deletion of the Irf8 gene in a tissue-specific or cell-type-specific manner using Cre recombinase technology. The Irf8 gene encodes a transcription factor that plays a crucial role in the development and function of various immune cell types. The Irf8flox/flox strain provides a useful tool for researchers to investigate the biological functions of the Irf8 gene in different cellular contexts.

C57BL/6, Rag2-/-, Tbx21-/-, CD11c-Cre, Irf8flox/flox, and Tbx21flox/flox mice were obtained from Jackson Laboratory (Bar Harbor, ME) and Rag2-/-γc-/- mice were obtained from Taconic (Rensselaer, NY). All control and experimental mice were age- and sex-matched within all individual experiments. This study included both male and female mice, and the data derived from male and female mice identified no sex-specific differences in the performed experiments.

C57BL/6, Tbx21−/−, and CD11c-Cre, Tbx21-Cre, Tbx21flox/flox, Irf8flox/flox, R26R-EYFP mice were obtained from The Jackson Laboratory (Bar Harbor, ME), and Rag2−/−γc−/− mice were obtained from Taconic Biosciences (Rensselaer, NY). CD11c-Cre mice crossed with Tbx21flox/flox or Irf8flox/flox mice generated CD11c-Tbx21−/−and CD11c-Irf8−/− mice, respectively. Tbx21-Cre crossed with R26R-EYFP mice generated Tbx21-EYFP mice. All mice were age and sex matched within individual experiments. All procedures were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of the host campus of Indiana University School of Medicine–Terre Haute, Indiana State University.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
