Echocardiographic Analysis of Rat LV

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Rats were anesthetized using 3% isoflurane, and echocardiography was performed using a FUJIFILM VisualSonics Vevo LAZR Multimodality Imaging Platform with a Transducer LZ250 transducer. The left ventricle internal diameter was determined.

Photoacoustic Imaging with Vevo LAZR

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
PAI was performed on the Vevo LAZR system equipped with a LZ250 transducer (FUJIFILM VisualSonics, Amsterdam, the Netherlands) as described previously.36 The Vevo LAZR system features peak energies of 45±5 mJ, with a pulse duration of 4–6 ns at adjustable wavelengths between 680 and 970 nm (2 nm step size). In combination with the PA signal, high-resolution US images were acquired at 21 MHz (central frequency). Both these conditions were maintained for the phantom and in vivo experiments.

Photoacoustic Imaging of Cortical Oxygen Saturation in Rat Pups

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Cortical oxygen saturation (sO2) was measured using the Vevo LAZR photoacoustic micro-ultrasound imaging system with the LZ250 transducer at 21 MHz as described previously (FUJIFILM VisualSonics) (Sun et al., 2015 (link)). Due to the measurement difficulty of photoacoustic probe in small mouse pups, we used P7 rat pup in Fig. 2A-B. The sO2 images in coronal brain sections were superimposed with the B-Mode images and parametric maps of oxygen saturation and quantified the left and right cortical regions.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
