Rabbit anti mouse cox 2

Manufactured by Abcam
Sourced in United States

Rabbit anti-mouse Cox-2 is a primary antibody that recognizes the cyclooxygenase-2 (Cox-2) protein in mouse samples. Cox-2 is an enzyme involved in the production of prostaglandins and is often upregulated in response to inflammation or other cellular stresses.

Chicken ovalbumin (OVA) was obtained from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA). Mouse fluorescein-conjugated antibodies against CD11c, I-Ab, CD80, CD86, CD40, and FcγRIIB were purchased from eBioscience. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits for the detection of mouse interleukin (IL)-12, IL-6, IL-4, and IL-13 as well as an enzyme immunoassay (EIA) kit for evaluation of prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) were bought from R&D Systems (Minneapolis, MN, USA).Rabbit anti-mouse Cox-2 and horseradish peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated anti-rabbit Ig secondary antibodies were purchased from Abcam (Cambridge, UK).

Measuring Neuroinflammation after BBB Disruption

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The neuronal inflammatory responses following the disruption of BBB were measured with the immunodetection of GFAP and COX-2 as described previously [4 (link),6 (link)]. The 20 μm cryosections were blocked with 5% goat serum for 30 min. Either of rabbit anti-mouse GFAP (1:200, Abcam) or rabbit anti-mouse COX-2 (1:200, Abcam) antibody was added onto the sections, and incubated for 20 h at 4˚C. Goat anti-rabbit IgG conjugated with Alexa488 (1:200) was then applied to the sections for 2 h at 22˚C. Semi-quantitative parenchymal abundance of GFAP and COX-2 were determined within the HPF and CTX as described for IgG and apo B.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
