PGC1α Overexpression in Prostate Cancer

C4–2 and C4–2b cells were obtained from ATCC. Cells were cultured in RPMI 1640 medium, GlutaMAX (Gibco-61870), and supplemented with 10% FBS (Sigma-Aldrich), 100 U/mL penicillin, and 100 μg/mL streptomycin. All cells were maintained at 37°C and 5% CO2 and tested for Mycoplasma using MycoAlert. For all studies, passage number was kept below 25. In some cases, cells were treated with BI9774 (a kind gift from Dr. Jon Read, AstraZeneca) or etomoxir (Cayman Chemical).
