Hepatocyte culture media kit

Manufactured by Corning
Sourced in United States

The Hepatocyte Culture Media Kit is a specialized laboratory product designed to support the growth and maintenance of hepatocytes, which are liver cells commonly used in various research applications. The kit provides a complete set of cell culture media and supplements formulated to create an optimal environment for hepatocyte cultivation and experimentation. The core function of this product is to facilitate the in vitro culture and study of hepatocytes, which are crucial for understanding liver biology, drug metabolism, and toxicology.

HepAD38 Cell Line and Primary Human Hepatocytes

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The HepAD38 cell line is derived from HepG2 cells and contains the HBV genome (subtype ayw) under tetracycline control (29 (link)). HepAD38 cells were maintained in Dulbecco modified Eagle medium/F-12 with 10% fetal calf serum (FCS), 3.5 × 10–7 M hydrocortisone hemisuccinate, and insulin at 5 μg/ml. Primary human hepatocytes (PHHs) were purchased from Corning (catalog number 454541, lot number 399) and maintained in PHH medium (Corning catalog number 355056, Corning hepatocyte culture media kit, 500 ml) as recommended by the manufacturer.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
