Wound Microbiome Analysis Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Wound samples were received as swabs (described above) 1 day after sample were taken. A dilution series was made using sterile PBS (pH 7.2), and samples were inoculated onto tryptone soy broth agar (Oxoid, Basingstoke, Hampshire, England) plates supplemented with, respectively, horse blood and haematein for aerobic incubation and onto equal plates and fastidious anaerobe agar (FAA, Oxoid) plates, supplemented with horse blood, for the anaerobic incubation at 37 °C for up to 48 h. All colonies were counted (total counts), and morphologically different colonies were then picked for further identification.

Soybean Seed Coat Processing and Material Sourcing

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The Black Tokyo, soybean genotype (with black seed coat) used in this study was grown at the location of the Maize Research Institute Zemun Polje (MRIZP). The whole black soybeans were separated into seed coats and dehulled beans. The separated seed coats were finely ground on a Perten 120 lab mill (Perten, Sweden) to fine powder (particle size <500 lm) and stored at À70 C.
Maltodextrin with dextrose equivalent (DE ¼ 16-19.9) produced by Cargill was kindly provided from Palco (Serbia). GA was purchased from Himedia (India), as well as M€ ueller Hinton Broth/Agar. SMP was generously donated by dairy Suboti cka mlekara (Serbia). Tryptone Soy Broth/Agar was purchased from Oxoid (Hampshire, UK). All other chemicals used for the experimental procedures were of analytical or HPLC grade and used as such without further purification.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
