Milliplex mouse metabolic magnetic bead panel

The following cytokines were assessed in the serum (diluted 1:4) using the multiplex kit from Bio-Rad Laboratories Canada Ltd. (catalogue number MD000000EL; Mississauga, ON, Canada): IL-15, IL18, LIF, M-CSF, MIG, MIP-2, PDGF-BB, VEGF, and FGF basic. The following cytokines were assessed in the serum (diluted 1:4) using the multiplex kit from Bio-Rad (catalogue number MD60009RDPD): IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-2, IL3, IL-5, IL-6, IL-10, IL-12(p40), IL-12(p70), IL-13, IL-17, KC, MCP-1, MIP-1α, MIP-1β, TNF-α, RANTES, Eotaxin, G-CSF, GM-CSF, and IFN-γ. The metabolic hormones C-peptide 2, GIP, leptin, and resistin were assessed in the serum using the Milliplex Mouse Metabolic Magnetic Bead Panel (catalogue number MMHMAG-44K) from EMD Millipore Corp. (Billerica, MA, USA). The following cardiovascular risk factors were assessed in the serum (diluted 1:20) using the Milliplex Mouse CVD Panel 1 kit from EMD Millipore Corp. (cat. MCVD1MAG-77K): soluble E-selectin, P-selectin, ICAM-1, Pecam-1, proMMP-9, thrombomodulin, and total PAI-1. Full biological names and raw data are provided in the S2 Table. All measurements were performed on a Bio-Plex® 200 system (with Bio-Plex Manager™ software version 6.0) from Bio-Rad Laboratories Canada Ltd. (Mississauga, ON, Canada). Mouse erythropoietin was measured with an ELISA kit from R&D Systems, Inc. (Minneapolis, MN).
