Ac t 5diff cp hematology analyzer

Manufactured by Beckman Coulter
Sourced in United States

The AC*T 5diff CP is a hematology analyzer manufactured by Beckman Coulter. It is designed to perform complete blood count (CBC) and 5-part differential analysis of blood samples. The analyzer utilizes flow cytometry technology to provide accurate and reliable results for red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and their respective sub-populations.

Multimodal Immune Profiling from Biopsies

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Plasma and peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) were separated by density gradient centrifugation, and the plasma was frozen for later analysis. Colon, rectum, and jejunum biopsies were immediately enzymatically digested as previously described31 . Lymph nodes were immediately ground through 70-μm cell strainer into a single cell suspension. PBMCs and single cell suspensions of biopsies and lymph nodes were then analyzed by flow cytometry. Complete blood counts with differential were measured on a Beckman Coulter AC*T 5diff CP hematology analyzer. Viral loads were determined by real-time reverse transcription (RT)-PCR using primers specific for SIVgag as previously detailed32 (link).

Baseline Evaluation of Malawian HIV Patients

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
All participants had a baseline evaluation beyond the standards of the Malawian HIV treatment program, including full blood count (AcT 5diff CP Hematology Analyzer, Beckman Coulter, Atlanta GA, USA), renal function tests (Erba XL200, Erba Mannheim, Germany), CD4 cell counts (Pima CD4-test, Abbott, Cape Town, South Africa), and HIV-RNA plasma levels (Cepheid GeneXpert, HIV viral load, Sunnyvale, CA, USA). The estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was calculated according to the CKD-EPI equation [27 (link)]. CD4 counts and viral load were measured every 6 and 12 months, respectively.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
