Mouse Keratinocytes and Melanoma Cell Culture

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Mouse keratinocytes (XB2 cell line), obtained from Dorothy Bennett and Elena Sviderskaya lab, were cultured in DMEM supplemented with 10% FBS, 2 mM l‐glutamine, 100 U/ml penicillin and 100 μg/ml streptomycin. Cells were maintained in a humidified incubator at 37°C and 10% CO2. MNT‐1 human melanoma cells were maintained in DMEM containing 10% FBS, 2 mM l‐glutamine, non‐essential amino acids, sodium pyruvate, 100 U/ml penicillin and 100 μg/ml streptomycin. SLIGRL‐NH2, SFLLRN and synthetic melanin were purchased from Sigma (Darmstadt, Germany), and melanin from Sepia officinalis from Santa Cruz (Dallas, TX, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
