Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM) + GlutaMax-I, Dulbecco’s phosphate buffered saline (DPBS), fetal bovine serum (FBS), 0.25% Trypsin–EDTA, penicillin/streptomycin (P/S), Quant-iT PicoGreen kit, YOYO-1 iodide, and LysoTracker Red DND-99 were purchased from Invitrogen-Gibco (Carlsbad, CA, USA). The BCA protein assay kit was purchased from PIERCE (Rockford, IL, USA). All other chemicals were purchased and used without any further purification.
