Genome-Wide DNA Methylation Profiling in Gynecologic Cancers

TCGA level 3 DNA methylation data were procured from TCGA using the Fire Browse platform (

). Infinium HumanMethylation 450K BeadChip arrays (Illumina Inc, CA, USA) were used to examine genome-wide DNA methylation profiles in gynecologic cancers. The DNA methylation level at each CpG site is represented as a β-value, which is the ratio of the intensity of the methylated-probe signal to the total locus signal intensity ranging from 0 (no methylation) to 1 (100% methylation). Only data of patients with available clinical survival information were selected. UALCAN was utilized to estimate the effect of the DNA methylation level on the clinicopathologic features of the gynecologic cancers.25 (link)
