Corresponding Organization :
Other organizations : Skåne University Hospital, Lund University, Leiden University Medical Center
Variable analysis
- Exposure to whole cigarette smoke (CS) or air
- Presence or absence of recombinant human IL-13 (2.5 ng/mL)
- OPN production in ALI-PBECs
- PBECs grown to confluence and cultured at the ALI for 14 days
- Recombinant human IL-13 (2.5 ng/mL) added to the basolateral compartment of Transwell inserts
- Medium refreshed every 2 days during the first 14 days and daily during the last 5 days, directly after whole CS or air exposure
- Positive control: PBECs cultured in the presence of IL-13 (2.5 ng/mL)
- Negative control: PBECs cultured in the absence of IL-13

About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
