Akt siRNA I (#6211) that targets Akt1 and Akt2 and siRNA II (#6510) that targets Akt1 were purchased from Cell Signaling (Beverly, MA). Transfection of these siRNA duplexes was conducted in 6-well plates using the Lipofectamine 2000 transfection reagent (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA) following the manufacturer’s manual.
