The activities of catalase and Gpx were measured by a Catalase- specific activity assay kit (Abcam) and a Gpx Cellular activity assay Kit (Sigma) according to the manufacturers’ protocols, respectively. MnSOD activities were measured by the nitroblue tetrazolium-bathocuproin sulfonate reduction inhibition method. Sodium cyanide (2 mM) was used to inhibit CuZnSOD activity as a previous study described (26 (link)).
