Participants were asked about their chronic disease status, smoking and alcohol use, and regular physical activity. Body weight (kg), lean body mass (kg), body fat mass (kg), and body fat percentage were determined with bioelectrical impedance analysis (TANITA SC 330 ST) after 12 h of fasting. Height (cm) and WC (cm) were measured by experienced researchers using standard protocols and techniques, and the BMI was calculated [45 ]. The anthropometric indices ABSI [22 (link)], BRI [23 (link)], DAI [24 (link)], LAP index [25 (link)], and VAI [26 (link)] were calculated based on the formulas in Table 1.
