Tracking Pole Cell Invagination Dynamics

We selected a central pole cell and manually tracked its coordinates over time in FIJI. As the selected pole cell began to invaginate, we tracked the position radially outward from it near the vitelline membrane to record only its tangential movement (Movie S3). The position is defined as

p o s_{pc} = \sqrt{(x - x_{o})^{2} + (y - y_{o})^{2}}

, where (x_o,y_o) is the position at T_cell = 0.
