Mouse recombinant (rec)-Lcn2 was obtained from Cell Signalling and human rec-NGAL was acquired from R&D Systems; both of which are free from endotoxin, siderophore, and iron. Human MPO was procured from R&D Systems (Minneapolis, MN). EGCG, PMA, ferric chloride, PIPES, agar, and H₂O₂ were procured from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO). Bovine milk LPO was purchased from Worthington Biochemical Corp (Lakewood, NJ). Chrome Azurol S was purchased from Acros Organics. Guaiacol (2-methoxyphenol) was obtained from Alfa Aesar (Ward Hill, MA).
