Culturing Lung Cancer Cell Lines LUSQ

LUSQ cell lines (EBC-1 and SK-MES-1) were obtained from the Japanese Cancer Research Resources Bank (JCRB) (Osaka, Japan) and the American Type Culture Collection (ATCC) (Manassas, VA, USA) respectively. EBC-1 cells were grown in RPMI-1640 medium (FUJIFILM Wako Pure Chemical Corporation, Osaka, Japan) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS). SK-MES-1 cells were grown in EMEM medium (ATCC) supplemented with 10% FBS. Both cell lines were incubated at 37 °C in a 5% CO₂ atmosphere.
