Genetic Lineage Tracing in Mice

Foxl1-CreERT2 mice were crossed to Porcn-ex3-7Neo-flox^{16 (link)}, Rosa-membrane-targeted dimer tomato protein/membrane-targeted green fluorescent protein (mG) ^{11 (link)}, or Rosa-YFP^{21 (link)} mice to obtain Foxl1-CreERT2;PorcnΔ, Foxl1-CreERT2;Rosa-mTmG, or Foxl1-CreERT2;Rosa-YFP mice. Non-inducible Foxl1Cre ^{10 (link)} mice were also crossed to Rosa-YFP and Rosa-mTmG reporter lines (Jackson Laboratories). The animal experiments were conducted under a protocol approved by the University of Pennsylvania Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.
