Glucose and Insulin Tolerance Tests

In GTT, mice were fasted for 12 hours and injected intraperitoneally with 1 g/kg body weight dextrose (Sigma). In ITT, after fasting for 6 hours, intraperitoneal 0.75 units/kg body weight insulin (Sigma) injection was performed. Glucose levels were detected from tail venous blood with an automated glucometer (Roche) at 0 min, 15 min, 30 min, 60 min, 90 min, 120 min after injection, which was also described in our previous study [30 (link)].
