Liver mRNA Expression Analysis

Mice were anesthetized with pentobarbital and livers were harvested. Total RNA was isolated from approximately 100 mg of liver using TRIzol Reagent (Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc.). Quantitative RT-qPCR was performed on the Thermal Cycler Dice Real Time System TP850 (Takara Bio Inc.) using specific primers (Supplementary Table 2) as previously reported^{34 (link)}. Relative mRNA expression levels were calculated using the standard curve method and normalized to 18S ribosomal RNA internal control.
