Anesthesia and Implantation of Telemetry Devices in Mice

Mice were anesthetized with ketamine/xylazine (80/10 mg/kg, i.p.) and placed in a stereotaxic instrument (Digital Just for Mouse Stereotaxic Instrument, Stoelting). Ophthalmic ointment (Puralube, Dechra) was applied. Post-surgery mice received subcutaneous sterile saline injections to prevent dehydration and an analgesic (buprenorphine; 0.1 mg/kg, i.p.).
