SEM Analysis of Scaffold Structure

The scaffold’s surface structure and architecture, specifically the pore size and porosity (n=3), were analyzed using SEM.11 (link),12 (link) In brief, the scaffolds were fixed with 2.5% w/v glutaraldehyde/PBS for 48 hours. Following this, the scaffolds were critically point dried using CO₂. The scaffolds were then gold-coated using a sc500 (EMScope; Quorum Technologies, Lewes, UK) sputter coater before imaging using a FEI Quanta 200F Scanning Electron Microscope.
