Allogeneic Cell Transplantation Under Kidney Capsule

NPSC and NPI were isolated as described previously^{35 (link)}. Prior to transplantation the number of cells was determined by measuring
the total cellular DNA content using the Quant-iT PicoGreen dsDNA quantification
assay (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA, USA)^{35 (link)}. Aliquots consisting of 11 × 10⁶ cells were gently placed
under the kidney capsule of isofluorane-anesthetized Lewis rats^{35 (link)}.
