Systolic blood pressure (SBP) and heart rate (HR) were measured using non-invasive tail-cuff method with Non-Invasive Blood Pressure Controller (ADInstruments, Sydney, Australia) before first dose of CBD or its vehicle and after 7 and 14 days of experiment (24 h after last dose of compounds).
SBP, diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and HR were also measured telemetrically in SHR and WKY rats, as described previously [15 (link)]. Briefly, after pentobarbitone sodium (300 μmol/kg; i.e., ~70 mg/kg; i.p.) anesthesia, telemetry transmitters (HD-S10, Data Sciences International, Saint Paul, MN, USA) were implanted into the femoral artery. Rats were allowed to recover for 1 week before measurements.
