Establishing a High-Salt Mouse Neuroblastoma Model

The mouse neuroblastoma cell line Neuro-2a (N2a) was purchased from Procell Life Science & Technology Co., Ltd. (Wuhan, China). The N2a cells were cultured in Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium nutrient mixture F-12 (DMEM-F12, Gibco, Carlsbad, CA, USA) supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum (FBS; Invitrogen, Irvine, CA, USA) and antibiotics (100 U/mL penicillin and 100 μg/mL streptomycin), and then incubated in a humidified atmosphere with 5% CO₂ at 37°C. The high-salt N2a cell model was established by treating them with NaCl medium (containing an additional 40 mM NaCl) for 24 h [16 (link)] (NaCl group). Non-treated N2a cells were placed into a control (CON) group.
