Routine cortisol measurement was done using the conventional cortisol assay (Roche Elecsys® cortisol II assay, Roche Diagnosis). This widely used assay uses electrochemiluminescence immunoassay (ECLIA), which uses monoclonal assay to measure serum cortisol levels.
